Carl Gustafson is a trial lawyer and a second-career attorney. Mr. Gustafson joined AZA from a leading global law firm where he practiced commercial litigation across various industries, including energy, infrastructure, and environmental disputes. Mr. Gustafson was also a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Gray H. Miller, a Senior District Judge for the Southern District of Texas, where he was responsible for managing an extensive trial docket and assisting the Court with all aspects of trial.

Mr. Gustafson is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law with honors. While at UT, Mr. Gustafson won multiple awards for academic achievement and was a member of the editorial board for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law. He was also the President of the First-Generation Law Students club, was a teaching and research assistant, and represented clients in pro bono cases as a part of the INCLUDE Project.
