Spencer Packard is a well rounded litigator and trial attorney with a focus on intellectual property and commercial litigation. Since joining AZA, Mr. Packard has taken and defended over thirty depositions, given the opening statement for a two-week federal jury trial dealing with complex copyright infringement issues, examined multiple witnesses in evidentiary hearings, and argued several evidentiary motions.

Mr. Packard’s interest in advocacy began at the University of Houston Law Center where he graduated magna cum laude, was a member of the Houston Law Review, and served as an Executive Board Member for the Mock Trial team. While in law school, Mr. Packard also interned for Judge David Hittner of the Southern District of Texas.

Mr. Packard joined AZA from a leading global firm where he focused on various aspects of trademark infringement, patent infringement, patent invalidity, and fee collection disputes. He is also licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Before law school, Mr. Packard attended Brigham Young University where received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering.
