HOUSTON – AZA partner Todd Mensing has been named to Lawdragon’s list of the 2024 Leaders in Environmental Law.

Lawdragon wrote that honorees were selected using its “time-honed process of journalistic reporting, nominations and vetting with peers and experts in environmental law.”

Mr. Mensing, who focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, was honored for the second year for his work in environmental litigation. In addition, he is recognized among the top lawyers in the nation for commercial litigation and construction litigation in The Best Lawyers in America.

His environmental litigation experience includes defending a midstream energy company in a $100 million contamination suit brought by the state of New Jersey; defending the same company in a $50 million MTBE contamination suit against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; defending a downstream energy company in a $100 million contamination suit; and achieving a walk-away settlement for a midstream company in a $30 million indemnity dispute relating to wetlands contamination.
