Seven Young AZA Lawyers Ranked among Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for 2023
August 18, 2022
HOUSTON – Seven lawyers with AZA are being recognized in the 2023 edition of The Best Lawyers in America as among the top young attorneys in the U.S.
Seven firm lawyers earned the special distinction as Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, which recognizes leading lawyers in practice less than 10 years. Those honorees are Weining Bai, Cameron Byrd, Nathan Campbell, Shahmeer Halepota, Louis Liao, Jordan Warshauer, and Kelsi Stayart White.
“We have an amazing bench of trial-ready young lawyers at AZA. It’s great to see their talents recognized,” said AZA founding partner John Zavitsanos.
All but two of the lawyers earned recognition for their commercial litigation work. Mr. Bai earned dual honors that included commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation. Mr. Liao was singled out for his IP litigation work and for his expertise in IP law.
The Best Lawyers in America is the oldest and one of the most respected peer review legal guides in the nation. The publication uses the same peer review process – nominations by lawyers in the same specialty and editorial review – to build its list of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.
AZA is also on the U.S. News – Best Lawyers list of Best Law Firms, ranked in the top tier of area metropolitan firms for commercial litigation.
AZA, or Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Mensing, is a Houston-based law firm that is home to true courtroom lawyers with a formidable track record in complex commercial litigation, including energy, healthcare, intellectual property, and business dispute cases. AZA is recognized by Chambers USA 2022 among the best in Texas commercial law and intellectual property; by U.S. News – Best Lawyers’ Best Law Firms as one of the country’s best commercial litigation firms for 10 years running; has been named Litigation Department of the Year by Texas Lawyer three times including for 2021; and was previously dubbed by Law360 a Texas Powerhouse law firm.
