Three More AZA Lawyers Elected Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation
December 18, 2018
HOUSTON – Three associates of Ahmad, Zavitsanos, Anaipakos, Alavi & Mensing P.C., or AZA, have been elected fellows of the philanthropic Texas Bar Foundation, an invitation-only honor.
Ifti Ahmed, Rey Flores and Kyle A. Poelker joined 13 other AZA lawyers who already are fellows with the charitable group that was founded in 1965 to assist the public and improve the profession of law. The group funds projects that provide legal services for the underserved, public education about the law, and the promotion of ethics in the legal profession.
Fellows of the foundation are selected for their professional achievements and their commitment to the improvement of the justice system throughout Texas. Each year the top one-third of 1 percent of Texas attorneys are invited to become fellows. Once nominees are selected, they must be elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees.
Current AZA fellows of the foundation are firm partners Joe Ahmad, Amir Alavi, Demetrios Anaipakos, Lizzie Fletcher, Todd Mensing, Steve Mitby and John Zavitsanos; firm of counsel Brian A. Simmons and David E. Warden; and firm associates Sammy Ford IV, Hillary S. Greene, Adam Milasincic and Neal Sarkar. Messrs. Ahmad, Alavi, Anaipakos, Zavitsanos, Simmons and Warden are life fellows, having completed all required contributions.
