Nine AZA Lawyers On the Super Lawyers List; Two in Texas Top 100
September 21, 2022

HOUSTON – Nine AZA lawyers earned 2022 recognition by Texas Super Lawyers for excellence in business litigation and appellate work.

AZA co-founders Joe Ahmad and John Zavitsanos were both listed among the Top 100 lawyers in Texas and in Houston. Mr. Zavitsanos, who was highlighted in the article “Going 20 for 20”  in Super Lawyers Magazine which features lawyers who have been on the Texas list since it began 20 years ago, is listed for business litigation expertise. Mr. Ahmad, who writes the blog Legal Issues in the Executive Suite, was highlighted for his expertise representing executives and has also been on the list for 20 years.

Also earning Super Lawyers recognition for business litigation expertise are partners Sammy Ford IV, Todd Mensing and Tim Shelby and of counsel Shawn Bates and David Warden. Earning recognition for her appellate work is partner Jane Langdell Robinson and of counsel JoAnn Storey.

No more than 5 percent of the lawyers in each state are selected every year for the peer review guide published by Thomson Reuters-owned Super Lawyers. Selection is based on peer nominations, third-party feedback, professional achievement, and independent review. The complete list of Texas honorees will appear in the October issues of Super Lawyers and Texas Monthly magazines.
