Nine Attorneys from Houston’s AZA Named to Texas Super Lawyers List

HOUSTON – Nine attorneys with the Houston-based litigation firm AZA, or Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Mensing, have been named to the 2016 Texas Super Lawyers list, an annual rating of the state’s most outstanding lawyers.

This year, partners Joseph Ahmad, John Zavitsanos, Demetrios Anaipakos and Todd Mensing also received recognition for being among the Top 100 lawyers in Texas and the Top 100 in Houston, primarily in the business litigation category. AZA had more lawyers on the Top 100 Texas list than any other Houston law firm.

Other AZA partners who earned selection to this year’s Texas Super Lawyers list for business litigation are Amir H. Alavi, Elizabeth Pannill Fletcher, Steven J. Mitby and Tim Shelby. Of Counsel David E. Warden was recognized on the list for his intellectual property litigation practice.

Attorneys selected to the Texas Super Lawyers list are chosen through a process involving nominations by other lawyers, a review by a blue-ribbon panel of attorneys who practice the same areas of law and research by the publication’s staff.

The list appears in the October 2016 editions of Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers magazines.
