AZA Lawyers Named Among Nation’s Best for Commercial, Patent Litigation and Appellate Law

HOUSTON – Ten lawyers with Houston trial law firm AZA, or Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Mensing, won national recognition in the 2019 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

AZA partners Joe Ahmad, John Zavitsanos, Demetrios Anaipakos, Amir Alavi, Todd Mensing, Steve Mitby, Tim Shelby and Elizabeth Pannill Fletcher, and of counsel David Warden and Jane Langdell Robinson were all listed among the nation’s best. Mr. Ahmad has been selected to the widely respected peer-review guide for 17 consecutive years, and Mr. Zavitsanos for 14 years.

The eight partners all earned honors for their work in commercial litigation, with Mr. Mensing also being recognized for construction litigation. Mr. Warden was selected for his expertise in intellectual property litigation and patent law. Ms. Robinson, earning her first appearance on the list, was recognized for her appellate practice.

Best Lawyers honorees are selected through a peer-review survey relying on confidential evaluations by other lawyers in the same or related specialties and within the same geographic regions. Best Lawyers is the oldest U.S. peer-review publication covering the legal profession.
