AZA Earns Texas Super Lawyers Honors; Three Make Top 100 Lists 

HOUSTON – Seven lawyers with AZA, or Ahmad, Zavitsanos, Anaipakos, Alavi & Mensing P.C., have earned recognition for 2020 by Texas Super Lawyers, a peer-review guide to the state’s top attorneys.  

AZA co-founders Joe Ahmad and John Zavitsanos are once again being honored among the top 100 lawyers in the state for their exceptional trial skills. Mr. Ahmad was selected for his labor and employment law expertise, and Mr. Zavitsanos was chosen for his business litigation work.  

Both also made Super Lawyers’ list of Top 100 Houston attorneys, along with firm partner Todd Mensing, who was selected for his business litigation talents. 

Nationally known for its success at trial and in negotiations, AZA has four other lawyers on the 2020 list of honorees – all for business litigation. They are firm partners Amir Alavi, Demetrios Anaipakos and Tim Shelby and of counsel David Warden.  

These highly rated litigators represent a variety of businesses in industries ranging from energy to healthcare and including several Fortune 500 companies. The firm has earned national honors for its intellectual property work as well as business litigation. 

Thomson Reuters-owned Super Lawyers recognizes no more than 5 percent of lawyers in each state. Selection is based on peer nominations, third-party feedback, professional achievement and independent review.
