Kevin Leyendecker Named Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America 

HOUSTON – AZA partner Kevin Leyendecker has been named a fellow of the invitation-only Litigation Counsel of America, an honorary society with a limited number of members. 

The Litigation Counsel of America was established to reflect the new face of the American bar. Membership in the group is limited nationally to 3,500 fellows, representing less than one-half of 1% of American lawyers.  

Mr. Leyendecker has tried nearly 40 cases to verdict in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings throughout Texas and across the country over the last 30 years. He has successfully defended cases involving individuals and companies that sought hundreds of millions in personal injury and commercial damages. He has obtained seven-, eight- and nine-figure verdicts and arbitration awards and has recovered more than $1 billion in settlements together with his joint venture partners in a wide variety of consumer, fraud, contract and personal injury matters. 

Mr. Leyendecker also serves as outside general counsel for energy companies located in and around Houston. He has handled appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and various Texas state appellate courts. Mr. Leyendecker obtained both his law and undergraduate (McCombs School of Business) degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
