HOUSTON – Houston attorney Todd Mensing, a partner in AZA, or Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Mensing, has been elected to the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an elite group of the country’s leading judges and civil trial lawyers.

ABOTA membership is by invitation only. Members are judged for, among other things, strong personal character, honorable reputation, and a high degree of trial experience. Mr. Mensing has tried far more cases than required in a variety of legal disciplines.

“It’s a great honor to receive a membership invitation from this respected group of trial lawyers. I am especially happy to join AZA founding partners Joe Ahmad and John Zavitsanos, who have been ABOTA members for some time,” says Mr. Mensing.

While he focuses on complex commercial litigation, Mr. Mensing has represented clients in commercial and intellectual property disputes, executive employment litigation, defense of catastrophic personal injury cases, and even complex family law matters and criminal trials.

He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction reserved for Texas trial lawyers with a high degree of trial experience and expertise. Mr. Mensing is recognized among the top lawyers in the nation for commercial litigation in the 2014 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. His professional accolades also include being recognized from London-based Chambers and Partners for his general commercial litigation expertise in the 2014 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
