Amir Alavi Represents Land Owners In $6 Million Mineral Lease Settlement
April 3, 2007

Amir Alavi settled a mineral lease dispute between land owners and Ballard Exploration Company and other defendants for over $6 million. The case, which was pending in Liberty County, Texas, involved claims by the land owner clients that Ballard Exploration Company did not have a valid lease for a successful natural gas well. AZA’s clients settled the case for over $6,200,000 plus future royalty payments. The defendants agreed to settle only after Alavi filed an extensive response to the defendants’ motion for summary judgment.
