AZA Attorneys, Firm Earn Numerous Honors in 2010

HOUSTON – The attorneys at AZA continue to add to their growing list of accolades with recent recognition from The Best Lawyers in America, U.S. News & World Report and Texas Super Lawyers magazine.

Earlier this month, the firm was singled out as one of the top law firms in Houston following a national survey conducted by the editors of U.S. News & World Report and The Best Lawyers in America. The first ever Best Law Firms survey highlights the leaders in a wide variety of practice areas across 171 metropolitan areas.

The Best Law Firms recognition is just the latest honor for AZA, which also was one of only 32 firms in the U.S. singled out as “awesome opponents” in a survey of 240 different corporate counsel conducted by BTI Consulting.

Along with the firm-wide recognition, several AZA attorneys have earned individual honors based on nominations from competing lawyers. Name partners Joe Ahmad, John Zavitsanos and Demetrios Anaipakos recently earned spots in the 2011 edition of The Best Lawyers in America , marking the seventh consecutive year all three have been highlighted on the listing of the country’s top attorneys.

The three name partners, along with attorney Amir Alavi also are featured in the 2010 Texas Super Lawyers listing of the state’s best lawyers, with Mr. Ahmad and Mr. Zavitsanos both earning special distinction among the Top 100 attorneys in Houston.
